John commenced his accounting career in 1977 with Union Fidelity Trustee Company of Australia while completing his accounting qualifications at what we now know as Ballarat University. John purchased an accounting practise in 1983 and has been in practice since that time. A CPA with over 30 years of experience in partnering with a wide range of clients with various needs specialising in working with and advising family owned businesses and professionals, on acquisitions, strategy development and maintain a deep knowledge of and appreciation for SME specific taxation and associated legal and compliance frameworks. John is passionate about ensuring business owners and professionals make the most of their time and current and future resources to establish and maintain family wealth and well being.
Matthew was educated at St. Joseph’s and Deakin University in Geelong achieving Bachelor of Commerce and commenced employment as an Accountant in 1998 with Kearney and Crowe Accountants and later joined John Creek in 2004. Matthew is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Petstock Australia and has been instrumental in establishing and structuring the business to be a leading franchise with over 90 sites. Matthew’s expertise is in business management and structuring business for growth and expansion and has significant expertise and experience in franchising and acquisitions. As a Director of BW Advisers, Matthew’s expertise lies in advising small to medium businesses in respect of day to day financial matters, management systems and reporting as well as income tax structuring and strategy.
Educated at Ballarat Clarendon College and Ballarat University achieving Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and Economics he commenced employment as an Accountant with John Creek in 1995. Chris is passionate about small business and farming related enterprises. Chris’ expertise lies in advising trades, small business and farming families in respect of day to day financial matters and income tax structuring and strategy. Chris is committed to ensuring business success by removing the impediments of taxation compliance and management to free up time so clients can focus on what they do best.
Completed Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University in Geelong, majoring in Economics and Law in 1990. Tony commenced employment in 1991 with National Australia Bank as a graduate in Business Banking where he worked until 1999 when he moved within the organisation to Financial Planning. Completed Diploma of Financial Planning 2001 and became a Certified Financial Planner in 2003. Tony has worked with three of the “Big four banks” and was a Senior adviser in the Commonwealth Bank’s corporate bank advising SME business owners and professionals in investment, investment structuring and wealth protection before commencing with BW Advisers in 2008. Tony’s expertise lies in his ability to take what people want and need and translate that into action and successful outcomes by utilising the full range of wealth creation and protection disciplines.
